YogaJaya Workshops

Qbi

Qbi first heard about Power Yoga in California, where she took classes in San Francisco from Larry Schultz, founder of the gItfs yogah studio. She experienced a revelation and has has lived yoga intensely for more than 10 years, attending trainings and workshops with masters Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Sharon Gannon & David Life, Lance Schuler, David Swenson, Seane Corn, Yogeswari and Glenn Ceresoli. Qbi is deeply grateful for what such teachers have done worldwide over the past decade and is inspired by their spirit, love and strength. She also trained in Mexico, with Bryan Kest, a rebel of the international yoga scene. Qbi is one of the very few Germans to take his highly-regarded course. Honoring her commitment to Jivamukti, Qbi also uses yoga in international peace projects focusing on women and young girls. Qbi and her friend Sunny (who also studied with Kest) teach in their studios in Hamburg and LuNbeck where you can do Power Yoga in the original American style, as well as Jivamukti and Inspya yoga | inspirational yoga for everyone. Qbi has a flowing, dynamic style that grows out of her creativity, free spirit and easy sense of humor.

Yoga Retreat in Tuscany, Italy with Patrick Oancia (YogaJaya, Tokyo) & Qbi (Inspya, Hamburg)

September 20 - 27th, 2008

The aim is to restore the human essence that is lost to everyday stress and to achieve total relaxation through regeneration. Lunigiana is an idyllic landscape in Tuscany unspoiled by tourism, a wild reserve of nature... green hills rising from the sea through vineyards and olive groves into forests of chestnut, gurgling creeks and mountain meadows set against the rocky Apuan Alps. This venue is the ideal place for Patrick Oancia and Qbi to share the secrets of release, introspection and finally, total relaxation through yoga.

The Program:

Each day will start with meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises) and asanas (postures). In the afternoon we will explore yoga philosophy and the deeper rationale behind the technique of the Asanas. Daily yoga instruction ranging from the challenging and dynamic to the regenerative and relaxing will be framed within the sessions of meditation and pranayama. With open hearts, friendly humor and a unique lightness we will seek the core of yoga together. Additional activities will include hikes on the mountainside, trips to the sea, picnics on the beach as well as simple relaxing and unwinding. This retreat is suited to yogis of all levels!
