In 2005 under Francois Chaillou's teaching on Sivananda yoga and
meditation, she learns about how to be a non-competitive yogi who does
not adhere to one truth.
With the opportunity to substitute a friend's yoga class for elderly
individuals with physical problems, she sees with her own eyes how
people recover their physical symptoms in a month and generate
positive change. This experience not only allows her to feel the joy
of helping people discover through yoga, but to find meanings-in and
wonders-of teaching yoga.
This experience triggers her to go to India in order to further deepen
her yoga studies: under Rajiv and Swati Chanchani who is the number
one student of B.K.S. Iyengar in North India Dehradun; Karin O'Bannon
in Rishikesh; teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar from Usha Devi; Nada Yoga
from Sadhvi Abha Saraswati; Sivananda Yoga from Divine Life Society in
Rishikesh, initially introduced by Francois.
All her past encounters with amazing teachers and yoga friends has
been a precious experience and has greatly influenced Yuki's yoga
life. Furthermore, studying yoga in Indian ashrams surrounded by
Nature has not only deepened her yoga and meditation, but has
increased Yuki's awareness to coexist with nature.
On the same year, she gains the opportunity to listen to Dalai Lama in
Dharamshala. Through this, she learns about the Tibetan culture and
the peoples' deep desire for peace, and she herself becomes much more
strongly aware of peace for humanity.
Yuki currently teaches yoga at the same time continues her creative
activities in the field of design and illustration. Her aim is to
unite communication, creativity, and a balanced state of body and
mind. She hopes to share the spirit of yoga based on her past work,
travel, yoga pursuit, and life experiences.
